Cinema.

 There are plenty of kinds of entertainment. But I suppose that the most popular one is the cinematography. More than 125 years ago in 1895 the Lumiere brothers produced first movie which lasted only for 3 minutes. It was the beginning of very interesting era that lasts to our days and called the era of Cinematography. Now it’s the most favourite kind of entertainment.

The cinematography connects art, literature, theater and music. Because of this a lot of people from differet professional areas are in movie making industry: writers, camera men, lighters, designers, make-up artists, sound engineers, composers, actors and producers.

The cinematography was very important in the Second World War times. The best and bravest cameramen made their documentaries on the fronts to show the courage of worriers. Those movies helped soldiers to be brave and strong during the hardness of the war. Nowadays, we can see the rebirth of such type in our country, after russia  attacked Ukraine in 2004. The most popular now is the ‘Cyborgs’ film, it is about the brave defenders of our motherland, but I am sure that we will have a lot of others about our heroes and their acts of bravery.

Everybody likes to watch films. Even those who say that watching films is а waste time, do that from time to time. Movie is a word used by Americans, film is a word used by British.

There are many genres of films: action films, documentaries, detectives, science fiction films, comedies, horrors, love stories (romantic films), dramas, fantasies, thrillers, fairy tales, soup operas, silent films, war films and others. With such  such a variety no wonder that millions of people all over the world watch films. A lot of films appear every year. Mostly it’s a production of  Hollywood. There are awards and prizes in the film industry. The best-known are the «Oscar» awards. They are given in different nominations to choose the best actor, actress, director.

Films are an art of our life and they play an important role in the life of our society. Lots of people consider going to the cinema one of the best ways of spending their leisure time.

 As for me I’m a cinema goer and I :

- prefer to watch action movies because they help me to relax. During the film everyone is running, something is exploding, the special effects are incredible, good guys  catch bad guys. I love that.

- sometimes when I am in mood I watch romantic films. l don’t like dramas. I prefer romantic comedies, because in the end everybody is happv and beloved people find the way to each other. They can give me some positive emotions .

-I really enjoy thrillers as they can keep you in tension and an interesting plot will hold you on the edge of your seat right up to the end of the film.

I’m not keen on horrors because I can’t stand the sight of blood, violence and ugly monsters. Moreover, I don’t like to be scared.
